These Knees Were Made For Walking

Yup. Around 2 inches expected in this area, Cumberland, Maryland, in the next 24 hours. Camping next to creeks and flash floods also in the forecast. Headed indoors again. Jack and I are ensconced at a Sleep Inn Hotel for the night. I might have made it through the rain if I had stayed put at McCoy’s Ferry. But I decided to move to Paw Paw Campground and tearing down and setting up was too hard with the rain and wet ground. I also got a subsequent text from a Ranger I have made friends with, Jay Copper. He said that the river at Paw Paw was expected to hit flood levels overnight on Wednesday.

I am feeling somewhat lost, no pun intended. I am so far off schedule and spending so much time in hotels that I am wondering if the current coarse is the one I should stay on. But I also have no idea what I could do next, to continue to do this thing.
