Today is Saturday, March 29. I am packing up the Honda with all my stuff. It’s a LOT. But I will eventually find a place for everything. I know I am taking too much but I will just shed what I find I don’t use along the way. There will be thrift shops and other campers that might find a use for things. I actually enjoy this part of the process. Getting organized and stuff. Which is funny because in all my years at work every evaluation it was suggested that I get more organized. I now think that really was about time management and not things. Who knows but it is funny to think about.
Jack came home today, from training. I called it Canine Boot Camp. I was really happy to see him and he was happy to be home. He did fantastic at camp and the trainers loved him. Now, I have to get trained and Jack will learn what it is that I want from him. Shannon and Lacey, from Ridgeside K9, spent over 2 hours with me, showing me what Jack had learned and what I need to do to keep up. They are great trainers and love what they do. It shows in the quality of the work they do with dogs.
I am also leaving Monday (or Tuesday) instead of tomorrow, Sunday. I having lunch with friends, celebrating a birthday and my departure. So I wouldn’t leave town until mid-afternoon and it’s a six plus hour drive to Killens Pond. I would get there after dark and I don’t want to set up then. Leaving early in the morning will give Jack and me plenty of time to get there, set up and relax a while before dinner and bed.
That’s it for this episode of insomnia.
